Giving
a shape to feelings
The slogan 'Giving a shape to feelings', is not mine,
though it has guided my efforts since I first came across
it. I wish it was. It was first said by one of my heroes -
Barbara Hepworth.
My mother was a painter, so I was brought up on the fine
art that surrounded us, including Barbara Hepworth and
Henry Moore.
Later I discovered sculptors like Brancusi, Arpe, Noguchi
and many others. The best of all for me is Donatello. In
his hands sculptors went from being artisans to being
artists.
My efforts are very much informed by my Bahá'í beliefs.
The pictures of my work are there to be browsed, I hope
they bring some pleasure.
